I’m Melissa Cantz, the founder of GypsyNests — a Real Estate Investor, Registered Architect, Certified Interior Designer, and LEED Accredited Professional — but first and foremost, I’m a mom building wealth with intention.

With a background in construction, architecture, and design, I understand how to see potential where others may not. I know how to evaluate structure, maximize layout, manage renovations, and design spaces that are both functional and welcoming. That foundation allows me to approach every property strategically — not just as an investment, but as an opportunity.

I’ve always been drawn to nature, gardening, and living sustainably. I believe thoughtful design should feel connected to the natural world — incorporating light, greenery, durable materials, and intentional choices that reduce waste and promote long-term efficiency. My commitment to sustainability influences how I renovate, design, and operate each property.

As a parent of two young children, my drive to invest in real estate is deeply personal. I’m building more than rental properties — I’m building freedom, flexibility, and generational wealth that can be passed down to my children. I want the ability to travel more as a family while creating long-term financial security through smart, scalable assets.

Through GypsyNests, I focus on acquiring and developing short-term and mid-term rental properties nationwide. My goal is to create thoughtfully designed homes that perform financially while providing meaningful, grounded spaces for those who stay in them.
